Recently, we have added Flax Seeds and Chia Seeds to our KUTOA bars so we wanted to take the opportunity to share a few of the major health benefits that they add to our bars!

Flax Seeds contain:
Omega-3 essential Fatty acids - These are the “good” fats that decrease inflammation and can lower the risk of high blood pressure, coronary artery disease and strokes; as well as breast, colon and prostate cancers. They also lower LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increases HDL or “good cholesterol”
Lignans - Phytoestrogens that can help stabilize hormone levels, and also have antioxidant qualities
Fiber - Both the soluble and insoluble aid with digestion, and keep you feeling full longer

Vitamins and minerals - provide nutrients for your body. There is as much calcium in 3 oz. of chia as 2 cups of milk, and as much iron as there is in 4 cups of spinach
