Benefits of Flax Seeds & Chia Seeds in KUTOA

Recently, we have added Flax Seeds and Chia Seeds to our KUTOA bars so we wanted to take the opportunity to share a few of the major health benefits that they add to our bars!

Take a look at these awesome seed benefits!


Flax Seeds contain:

  • Omega-3 essential Fatty acids These are the “good” fats that decrease inflammation and can lower the risk of high blood pressure, coronary artery disease and strokes; as well as breast, colon and prostate cancers. They also lower LDL or “bad cholesterol”  and increases HDL or “good cholesterol”
  • Lignans Phytoestrogens that can help stabilize hormone levels, and also have antioxidant qualities
  • Fiber Both the soluble and insoluble aid with digestion, and keep you feeling full longer
  • Minerals, such as manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium - help boost the immune system and provide nutrients
  • Vitamin E - helps protect skin from harmful oxygen-free radicals 

Chia Seeds contain:

  • Fiber - keeps you feeling full longer, and promotes healthy digestion

  • Vitamins and minerals provide nutrients for your body. There is as much calcium in 3 oz. of chia as 2 cups of milk, and as much iron as there is in 4 cups of spinach
  • Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids -keep inflammation down and reduce plaque buildup associated with heart problems/ lowers the chance of cardiovascular issues
