The Health Movement

It’s simple, without our health we have nothing. Though often taken for granted, proper health is the most basic of human needs – and rights. Without it, any chance of happiness and prosperity becomes impossible. Every day, however, nearly 1 billion people are disenfranchised from our global community because their families, their governments, and their economies cannot provide for them with proper nutrition. Granting these people access to the most basic of nutritional needs would empower them to go to school, raise families, and become contributing members of their communities – a change that would pave the way for sustainable development.

The issue of health extends beyond developing countries. In our own country, hundreds of millions suffer from health complications, due to unhealthy diets and lack of healthy eating options. In the United States, improper nutrition leads to many dangerous health conditions, including diabetes, obesity, and heart disease. In fact, over 50% of Americans now suffer from a chronic illness. In the last 50 years, the percentage of Americans with diabetes has increased by 10x. In addition, 1 in 3 adults and 1 in 5 children are now obese. The result of this trend is disastrous, as 70% of all deaths in the US are caused by chronic illness. We can prevent these tragedies by maintaining a healthy and natural diet, free of chemically processed ingredients, such as preservatives, additives and artificial flavoring.
